Anna 99 Type is an independent transcription studio based in Visakhapatnam, India. It's run by one focused practitioner — which means when you send us a file, you're talking to the person who actually listens to it and types it out.
No call centres. No handoffs. No marketing layer between you and the work.
We started this studio because we think transcription deserves to be treated as careful work — not an assembly-line task. What follows is what that means in practice.
Transcription is careful listening, repeated twice, then written down without embellishment. Nothing more. Nothing less.
Before we type a single word, we listen through the recording. Understanding the context comes before the transcription.
No embellishing what was said. No smoothing out for style. The transcript reflects the recording — accurately, not "nicely".
Every transcript goes through a second review pass. A fresh read catches what a first pass misses.
Not promises or guarantees — commitments we actually live by, day to day. Simple, honest, and written down so you can hold us to them.
No account managers. No ticket systems. Your message reaches the studio directly, and the reply comes from the same person who will handle your file.
Direct channelWe send you a written quote before any work begins — per-minute rate, total cost, delivery window. You ask questions, we adjust. Nothing starts until you approve.
Transparent pricingWe quote timelines we genuinely believe we can meet. Typically 24–72 hours for standard files. If your project needs longer, we'll say so upfront.
Realistic timelinesRecordings aren't shared outside the people working on your project. For sensitive work, we're glad to sign an NDA before you send anything over.
ConfidentialityIf a project is beyond our capacity or outside our comfort zone, we'll tell you honestly. Better to say no than deliver something below standard.
Honest capacityNoticed something off after delivery? Tell us. Reasonable revisions are included — we'd rather get it right than rush you out the door.
Fair revisionsA small name for a small studio. It's made of three pieces, and each one says something about how we work.
"Anna" is a word of respect and warmth used in several South Indian languages — it means "elder brother." It's how you'd address someone you trust to do right by you. That's the relationship we hope to build with every client.
"99" is our own mark — a quiet reminder to keep the standard high without overpromising. We won't claim perfection, but we do aim for careful, considered work on every file.
"Type" is the verb. The craft. The thing we actually do. Someone sits down, listens carefully, and types what was said. That's the whole studio, in one word.
Here's roughly how a standard transcription project moves through the studio — from the first WhatsApp message to the final DOCX landing in your inbox.
Share a little about your project and we'll reply with a clear quote and timeline. WhatsApp, email, or a quick call — whatever's easiest for you.
